Director of Career Services and Field Experience

Iowa Wesleyan College is seeking a Director of Career Services and Field Experience.  This full-time, 12-month position will work closely with IWC faculty and staff members.
 
Primary duties will include counseling students on prospective majors as they relate to career preparation, advising and registering undecided majors for classes, providing guidance and critiquing job application materials, serve as the ICORN representative for the college, assisting students in preparing for fairs and interviews, work with local businesses to develop internship and job placements, assist student prepare for graduate school, manage the Career Development website, conduct annual graduate employment survey and analyze data and coordinate presenting career information through classroom presentations as requested and guide students through the Field Experience process monitoring their progress.
 
Qualified candidates must have a Master’s degree in counseling, education or related field, experience working in higher education at a career or academic advising center, the ability to work across functional lines to accomplish objectives, excellent presentation and communication skills, up-to-date knowledge of career fields and employment trends. Anticipated start date is August 1, 2014.
