SLIAC Conference Commissioner
Scope of the Position
The St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference, (SLIAC) an NCAA Division III Collegiate Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for the position of Commissioner. This is a 12-month, full-time, benefits eligible position reporting to the SLIAC Executive Committee of the President’s Council and Chair of the Administrative Council. The Commissioner is responsible for oversight and conduct of the Conference’s athletic operations and serves as the chief operating officer responsible for: acting as the primary liaison between the NCAA National Office and Conference member institutions; coordinating Conference Championships; scheduling Conference contests and events; interpreting and enforcing Conference and NCAA legislation/policies; serving as chief financial officer; overseeing the Conference awards program and special events; coordinating public relations and marketing efforts including sports information and the Conference website; managing six coordinators of officials; and providing input and oversight of strategic and long range planning for the Conference. Minimum Qualification Standards
A bachelor’s degree is required. Previous experience in athletics administration, sports information or media relations is strongly preferred. Strong candidates will be highly motivated, possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, a keen interest in promoting the role of intercollegiate athletics as a component of a well-rounded educational experience, and committed to the Division III athletics philosophy.

About the SLIAC
The SLIAC Conference office is located in the Greater St. Louis area. Originally formed in 1990, the SLIAC sponsors Conference Championships in 12 sports. Current members of the conference include Blackburn College, Eureka College, Fontbonne University, Greenville College, Iowa Wesleyan College, MacMurray College, Principia College, Spalding University, Webster University, and Westminster College.
