Basic Human Rights
What are Basic Human Rights?
Human rights are freedoms that all people are born with. These rights should not be taken away by any government or individual person. We have human rights organizations to help keep peace, develop friendly relations with other nations, empower historically marginalized populations, encourage respect among all people, and work to end torture and discrimination throughout the world. Ending the unfair treatment of people who belong to particular cultures, races, or identites is the main focus of the human rights movement.
