Since the days of Responsible Social Involvement (RSI) in the early 1970’s, service to others has been a hallmark of Iowa Wesleyan College. Long before service learning became a catch-phrase for educational institutions, IWC alumni continued quietly serving as volunteers in their home communities all over the country.
Want to continue giving back to IWC? We NEED YOU! The Alumni Office is continually looking for volunteers who can work on campus with move-in day assistance, as ambassadors for visiting guests, adopting or mentoring students, representing the college at events in your hometowns, or promoting alumni events from the comfort of your own homes.
Iowa Wesleyan alumni serve as role models and mentors for current students. What better way to prepare the next generation of IWC alumni, than to share your skills and experiences? Consider making internship opportunities available to IWC students in your workplace, or including Wesleyan students on your mission trips or service projects. Planning a professional project conference that could be a great learning opportunity? Let us know how students might participate. Remember, today’s students are tomorrow’s leaders. You can be part of their success!
