Endowed Scholarships

How to Establish Endowed Scholarship Funds

When you endow a scholarship fund, you may name it after yourself, to honor someone or to pay tribute to mentors or loved ones as a memorial. In your scholarship you will be able to assist in setting the parameters of how your scholarship will be awarded and you will have the opportunity to have contact with that student.

You may establish an endowed scholarship with a minimum $25,000 gift. The amount of money that is directly awarded to the student or students will be based on the earnings from the principal of the gift. You may establish an endowed scholarship fund in several ways:

  • Donating cash in one payment or in several payments over time
  • Creating a planned gift such as an annuity, charitable remainder trust or by making a bequest in your will
  • A combination of these options.

Please consider how your gift will positively impact the students of Iowa Wesleyan College today –and provide an ongoing legacy in the future. Your scholarship gift will have a direct impact on students for years to come.
