Iowa Wesleyan College is a four-year coeducational college of liberal arts and sciences related to the United Methodist Church. Iowa Wesleyan is also accredited by the Iowa Department of Education and the University Senate of the United Methodist Church. The Nursing Program is approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON, Riverpoint Business Park, 400 SW 8th St., Suite B, Des Moines, IA 50309; 515.281.3255) and has been approved for candidacy with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, (ACEN, 3343 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 500 Atlanta, GA 30326; 404.975.5000). The College is approved by the government training program under the Veteran’s Bill (550 and 894).
Iowa Wesleyan College is fully approved by the Iowa Board of Nursing.
With Iowa Board of Nursing approval, Iowa Wesleyan College nursing graduates are able to sit for licensure exam and practice professional nursing.
The Iowa Wesleyan College Bachelor of Science in Nursing program has been accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC) continuously since 1975 when the program graduated its first class.
NLNAC is now known as the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, Inc. (ACEN).
Currently the Division of Nursing at Iowa Wesleyan College has been approved for candidacy with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
