The nursing major teaches students to view health care as an adaptive system promoting health, learning experiences and the development of the professional nursing role, as well providing the knowledge and skills to work in a variety of health care settings. Students in this program will gain experience in a variety of clinical settings, beginning as early as the sophomore year.

Upon completion of the nursing major, students will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree. Graduates are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination which, when successfully completed, will result in licensure as a Registered Nurse.

Iowa Wesleyan also offers a program for R.N.s wishing to complete the B.S.N. This program is available online. For more information, contact the Office of Extended Learning.
