GIRLS BASKETBALL CAMP

This will be the 5th year for the IWC Girls Basketball Camp. The camp will be ran by Iowa Wesleyan College Women’s Basketball Coach Steve Williamson. Coach Williamson has been a college coach for 13 years. The Tigers have won 20 or more games the last five seasons, been nationally ranked, and have qualified for the NAIA National Tournament four of the last five years. Coach Williamson has worked numerous basketball camps throughout the Midwest, including Iowa State Women’s Elite Camp. Other instructors at the camp will include past and present players that have played for Coach Williamson at Iowa Wesleyan College.
The camp will focus on the fundamentals that every player needs to concentrate on to become a better player. Each day the girls will work on offensive and defensive fundamentals during station work, and will be given individual instruction by the coaches. Each player will also play in league games each day, and all players will play equal time during these games. Various contests and games will be held throughout the week. This camp is designed for campers to learn the basic fundamentals of basketball, to help them become better basketball players, and most importantly for them to have fun!!
The cost to attend the Tiger Basketball Fundamentals Camp is $50.00. All campers will receive a camp T-shirt, individual instruction, and have lots of fun. We will also have daily drawings to give away different items to campers. Each camper will also receive a season pass to watch the Lady Tigers home games next season.
