Melissa is from Bentonsport, Iowa and graduated from Iowa Wesleyan College where she studied English. She currently lives in Mount Pleasant and enjoys photography, scrapbooking and spending time with her family. She plans visit days and sends information to interested students. Before working here, Melissa was home raising her family and worked for Federation Bank in Brighton, IA.
What I love about my job: The students, of course!
Favorite thing about IWC: When I walk from my car to work every day, or when I go on an errand across campus, there is always someone that I know and care about to greet, so I suppose that the people are my favorite thing.
What I do when I’m not at work: Spend time with my family.
Music: Christian rock or country.
TV: Numbers and Psych.
Movies: My husband and I have wide preferences in movies and watch a lot of different kinds, but I prefer not to watch scary horror movies.
Sports: I prefer college or high school games where I know the players. Because my husband is a big fan of the San Francisco 49ers and NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick, I have gotten in the habit of following how they do.
Students considering Iowa Wesleyan College should visit Little Mexico Restaurant. They have a great queso dip and amazing flan.
