Registrations are now being accepted for the 2010 Iowa Wesleyan College Girls Basketball Camp.
The camp will be held June 21-25 at Ruble Arena in IWC’s Howe Student Activity Center. The camp will include morning sessions all five days from 8:30 a.m.-noon. The camp is for girls entering grades 5-8 and is headed by IWC women’s basketball Head Coach Steve Williamson. Williamson has led the Tigers to five straight 20-win seasons including four trips to the NAIA Division II National Tournament, as well as an appearance in the NAIA Elite 8 this past season.
As it has in the past, the camp will focus on offensive and defensive fundamental instruction through station work and will also include individual instruction from coaches. Players will also participate in league games each day as well as other contests and games throughout the week.
The cost of the camp is $50, with registrations being accepted through June 14. Campers will receive a camp T-shirt, a season pass to IWC home basketball games next year, and there will be daily prize drawings and giveaways as well. Registration forms and payment should be sent to:
