Jennie is from Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and attended the University of South Dakota where she studied psychology and therapeutic recreation. She currently lives in Mount Pleasant and enjoys running, Iowa Hawkeye football and all the included festivities, visiting friends and taking trips. Before working at Iowa Wesleyan College, Jennie worked for Aseracare Hospice in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, as a Volunteer Coordinator.
What I love about my job: I love seeing the excitement on the faces of students when they arrive to campus, whether it is for a campus visit, registration or orientation. It is truly amazing to be a part of this new chapter of life with students.
Favorite thing about IWC: I love the school spirit the students, faculty and community have for IWC!!
What I do when I’m not at work: You can usually find me jogging the streets of Mount Pleasant, spending quality time with my niece or catching up with friends.
Music: I love country music.
TV: I am a sucker for reality TV. The Bachelor/Bachelorette, Dancing with the Stars, Million Dollar Listing, Flipping Out, Texas Women, Etc.
Movies: Any movie as long as it is not a horror movie.
Sports: Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears.
Students considering Iowa Wesleyan College should visit downtown Mount Pleasant. They have great little shops and restaurants on the square. Some of my personal favorites are Little Mexico and Le Chic Boutique.
