Kody is from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Waldorf College where he studied marketing and minored in management. He currently lives in Mount Pleasant and enjoys playing basketball, running and relaxing during downtime. He travels in southern Iowa and works with first year students with last names starting with T to Z. He also works with international students. Before working here, Kody worked for AmeriCorps VISTA helping with the recovery efforts from the flood of 2008.
What I love about my job: I have enjoyed the small town experience so far. Plus, you can’t beat traveling the Iowa countryside in the fall and spring.
Favorite thing about IWC: The flexibility with our busy schedules.
What I do when I’m not at work: Anything active. For the most part I spend my time running/biking or playing recreational sports.
Music: Basically everything. But my favorite time of the year to listen is when Christmas music is on the radio.
TV: Sports, definitely. But some of my favorite shows include The Office, Friends, Dexter
Movies: Ninja Turtles 1 is the best movie of all time. Don’t deny it.
Sports: Iowa Hawkeyes, Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves
Students considering Iowa Wesleyan College should visit East Lake Park. The walking/running trail is extensive and explores a scenic portion of Mount Pleasant.
