Nathan is from Springfield, Missouri, and graduated from Cornell College where he studied political science. He currently lives in Coralville, Iowa, and enjoys going to the movies, playing cards and eating out at new restaurants. He travels in Missouri and works with first year students with last names starting with P to S. Before working here, Nathan worked as a Geek Squad Agent.
What I love about my job: The opportunity to travel in my home state of Missouri and get out of the office from time to time. Students going from high school to college are at one of the most exciting times in their lives and I like knowing I can help them make a very difficult decision.
Favorite thing about IWC: The small campus is fantastic! I can get to any building in less than 5 minutes and I have gotten to know people really well.
What I do when I’m not at work: I live just 45 minutes away in Coralville, Iowa so I often take advantage of all of the fun and exciting things to there.
Music: I listen to just about every type of music so my favorites are pretty random. On my iPhone right now I have The Smiths, Asher Roth, Fleetwood Mac, Lana Del Rey, Pearl and the Beard and Rush.
TV: Breaking Bad, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Louie, Glee, and Firefly. I really wish House was coming back this fall.
Movies: Documentaries, Brick, Inception, and any Kevin Smith movie.
Sports: I played soccer and lacrosse in college, so any opportunity to watch those sports I take advantage of. I also follow college and professional football pretty closely.
Students considering Iowa Wesleyan College should visit Little Mexico Mexican Restaurant. They have a great lunch specials menu and serve authentic Coca-Cola in glass bottles.
