Lessons and Carols to be presented December 4

The Iowa Wesleyan College Choir and Mount Pleasant Chorale will present “Before the Marvel of this Night,” a service of Lessons and Carols, on Sunday, December 4, at 7:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant.

The groups are under the direction of Bradley Miller, assistant professor of music at Iowa Wesleyan College.

Highlights of the concert include performances of There Shall a Star Come Out of Jacob by Felix Mendelssohn, The Godly Stranger by G. Winston Cassler, Resonet in Laudibus by Z. Randall Stroope, and Before the Marvel of this Night by Carl Schalk.

The evening will include candle-lighting and the singing of carols. A reception will follow in the church Fellowship Hall. A $5.00 donation is requested at the door.
