Iowa Wesleyan College students will join with area youth in planting the new Community Garden on Friday, April 20 at 3:30 p.m. The Community Garden is located at 211 S Jackson Street, across from the fire station.
The planting celebrate Global Youth Service Day, the world’s largest and longest-running service event.
For the past semester, students at Iowa Wesleyan have worked with participants in the afterschool program at the REC Center, Healthy U!, to nurture vegetables from seedlings. These will be planted on Friday afternoon.
