Guest artist to present piano recital

Ian Moschenross, associate professor of music at Monmouth College, will present a free piano recital at Iowa Wesleyan College on Friday, September 21, at 7:30 p.m.

He will play works by Bach, Schumann, Mendelssohn and Shubert. The recital will be held in the Chapel Auditorium on the Iowa Wesleyan campus in Mount Pleasant.

Moschenross, who has served on the Monmouth College faculty since 2004, is an active recitalist, chamber musician and accompanist in western Illinois. He has held the post of Principal Keyboard of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony since 2004. He is a frequent adjudicator in the area.

He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Hanover College. He earned the master of music and doctor of musical arts degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to his formal studies, he has also done advanced work at the Texas Christian University/Cliburn Piano Institute.
