Creators of Holocaust musical oratorio to present Forum program

The musical creators of the oratorio To Be Certain of the Dawn will present a program for the Iowa Wesleyan College Forum series on Thursday, February 12, at 11 a.m. The program will be in the Iowa Wesleyan College Social Hall. It is free and open to the public.

To Be Certain of the Dawn was commissioned in 2003 as a memorial Holocaust oratorio.  It pays tribute to the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, and honors Holocaust survivors and their descendants.

Composer Stephen Paulus and Librettist Michael Dennis Browne will discuss the religious, cultural, historical and musical issues surrounding the creation of this work.

This program is funded in part by The Clifford and Maxine Manning Annual Speaker  Series at Iowa Wesleyan College.
