Printmaker Robert Kennon is the featured artist at the Iowa Wesleyan College Art Gallery. A reception for the artist will be held on Friday, February 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the Gallery.
Kennon’s show of intaglio prints is on display through February 27.
Kennon is a faculty member at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri. He earned an M.F.A. in printmaking, an M.A. in art history, and an M.A. in printmaking at The University of Iowa. He earned a B.F.A. in printmaking at Webster University, St. Louis, MO. He has completed research and study abroad in Holland, the Czech Republic, London and Paris. He has served on the faculty at Ashford University and Mount St. Clare College. He is the owner of Albion Graphics Studio in Canton.
His show, titled “Spiritual Visions,” includes work influenced by religious sources in 18th and 19th Century Romantic art and theory.
The Iowa Wesleyan College Art Gallery is open to the public free of charge. The Gallery, located on the main floor of the P.E.O. Administration Building, is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
