Mark Petty is the Associate Vice President and Dean of Admissions at Iowa Wesleyan College. After graduating from Bishop Heelan Catholic High School, Mark went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at the University of Iowa. He began his career in admissions in 1997 by when he was a student caller for the University of Iowa Phone Team. Prior to his current position at Iowa Wesleyan, Petty worked at Buena Vista University.
Mark has been an active member of Iowa ACAC since 1999 by serving on the Publications Committee, Spring Conference Programming Committee (co-chair), Nominations Committee, Assembly Delegate, and Government Relations Chair. He is currently President-Elect for Iowa ACAC. In addition, he has participated with the Visit the Hill program, presented at the IACAC Spring Conference, and attended several NACAC Conferences. Mark is also a member of the Iowa ACT State Organization Executive Council and AACRAO. Furthermore, Mark is an active member at his church and in the community where he serves on the Board of the Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Family Advisory Council for the Children’s Hospital of Iowa.
Mark, along with his wife, Jenny, and three children, resides in Mount Pleasant.
