Juskewycz signs on to join IWC men’s golf program

MOUNT PLEASANT – Former Fairfield High School star Nick Juskewycz (Fairfield, Iowa) has signed on to play golf at Iowa Wesleyan College starting this fall.

Juskewycz led Fairfield to a second-place team finish in Class 1A in 2007. He tied for fourth at the state meet, was champion of the Trojans’ sectional last year, and was named to the all-state team. He received medalist honors 19 times at Fairfield while also posting 10 individual runner-up finishes in high school.

“I am very excited about having Nick join our team,” said IWC Head Coach Ted Peetz. “He is an accomplished player and really nice guy so I think he will help out the team right away. I'll look forward to seeing him in action this fall.”

Juskewycz joins an IWC program coming off a successful season in which the Tigers finished second in the Midwest Collegiate Conference championship meet last month and received votes in several national polls in the 2007-08 season. The Tigers placed two golfers on the all-conference team this past season and also saw Peetz named as the conference’s Coach of the Year.
