Iowa Wesleyan College enrollment up; largest freshman class since 1980
Iowa Wesleyan College has enrolled the largest class of freshmen in three decades, according to enrollment numbers released today. 154 freshmen are enrolled at the Mount Pleasant campus this fall. Transfer students accounted for another 97 new students.
Total enrollment is 863, with 665 fulltime students and another 198 enrolled part-time in day or evening classes. That number is up from 843 a year ago.
“We are very pleased to welcome so many new students to campus this year,” said Iowa Wesleyan President Jay Simmons. “This increase in enrollment indicates that more people are becoming aware of the quality education offered at Iowa Wesleyan and are interested in being part of our campus community.”
