MOUNT PLEASANT – Registrations are now being accepted for the Tiger Trot 5K Run/Walk hosted by Iowa Wesleyan College on Homecoming weekend.
The race will take place Saturday, October 17 at 8 a.m. Registration will begin at 7 a.m., and the race will start and finish in front of the Howe Student Activity Center. Course maps will be available on race day or earlier by request.
The top three finishers in each age group will receive medals in a short awards ceremony after the race. Age groups will be for men and women and include 13 & under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
Registration fee after Oct. 3 is $20 and includes a T-shirt which will be mailed to runners after race day. Runners can also register for $10 without the T-shirt. Registrations forms are available online on the IWC athletics site. Forms also can be mailed to: Iowa Wesleyan College, Attn: Anne Dreyer, 601 N. Main St., Mount Pleasant, IA 52641. Race day sign up is also accepted, and the race will end in time for runners to see the Wesleyan Homecoming parade and participate in other Homecoming Day festivities.
