Tigers’ Juskewycz wins Statemen Fall Classic

OSKALOOSA – Competing as an individual, Iowa Wesleyan College’s Nick Juskewycz (So-.Fairfield, Iowa) shot a 75 to win the William Penn University Statemen Fall Classic at Osklaoosa Golf Course Tuesday afternoon.

Juskewycz was among three golfers who tied for the top round of the day but won the tie breaker on a card back, making an eagle on the par- 5 13th hole to win medalist honors. He picked up the first top finish of his collegiate career and is the first Tiger golfer to take medalist honors in a tourney this season.

Juskewycz was one of six IWC golfers competing in the tourney and was the lone competing as an individual for Wesleyan. The Tigers team competing finished in third place out of the seven-team field, shooting a team score of 320. IWC finished 12 shots behind first-place Grand View University (308) and seven shots behind second place AIB of Des Moines (313).

In the individual standings, Mark Cleary (So.-London, England) followed Juskewycz, shooting a 78 to tie for eighth. Adam Moyers (Sr.-Burlington, Iowa) and Emery McGraw (Jr.-Loveland, Colo) both carded identical scores of 79, tying for 10thJeff Zieber (Jr.-Cameron, Mo) finished with an 84, tying for 22nd, and Ryan Grun (Fr.-Kansas City, Mo) shot an 87, tying for 35th.
