IWC women’s golf finishes fall season at MCC Preview Invite

WATERLOO –The Iowa Wesleyan College women’s golf team came in eighth place in the Midwest Collegiate Conference Invitational at Sunnyside Country Club in Waterloo.

St. Ambrose University won the tournament by shooting a team score of 343, 15 shots ahead of second place Viterbo (Wis.) University. Winning the tournament individually was MacKenzie Hein of St. Ambrose who carded an 81, edging out Jordan Davis of Ashford University by a shot.

The Tigers were led by senior Melissa Peterson (Sr.-Wilton, Iowa), who shot a 100 finishing in 28th place.  After Peterson was Gabby Combs (Jr.-Macomb, Ill.) who fired a 116 finishing 37th.  Stevie Schrier (So.-Columbus Junction, Iowa) was one stroke behind Combs shooting a 117 tying for 38th. Behind Schrier was Jordan Ruschill (Jr.-Mount Pleasant, Iowa) who shot a 124 finishing 40th.

IWC has concluded its fall golf season and will return to action next spring.
